It is a process in which eggs are manually fertilized by putting together an egg and a sperm in a laboratory dish. When this procedure is successful then it is combined with another process known as embryo transfer, which is done by placing the embryo into the uterus.
It is also known as DI in which sperm from the donor is used to help a woman to get pregnant. The sperm donor is screened for sexually transmitted diseases and to detect certain kind of genetic disorders. The donor's sperm is placed right into the neck of the womb which is the cervix, right at the time when woman ovulates.
It is also known as ICSI and is an in vitro fertilization procedure in which a single sperm is injected directly into an egg. It is one of the common procedures to overcome male infertility issues and can be used in cases where sperm fail to penetrate into the egg. This procedure falls under Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
This process takes ICSI to next level because sperm is directly injected into the egg and transferred into the womb. In this procedure powerful microscope is used to magnify the sperm to about 7000 times. This gives a detailed analysis of the sperm so that you can select the best one for ICSI procedure.
It is a process in which cells and whole tissues are preserved by cooling in low temperature which can be 77K or -196 degree centigrade. At such temperatures any biological activity will cease. It is one of the safest procedures to preserve both pre-implantation embryos and sperm which can be revived easily.
